The company Archos introduced VR Glasses, which only costs 29 euros. The glasses will come on the market in November – including in Germany.
The device is so cheap because the most expensive component must come from the user himself: the smartphone. It works with all operating systems, including iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. Maximum 6-inch find space in the device. However, it works best with a 5-inch display, a full HD resolution and at least a quad-core processor and motion sensors.
“The usage of digital content is constantly changing. We get virtual reality with VR Glasses for all users on the smartphone,” said Loïc Poirier, CEO of Archos.
The VR Glasses are designed to provide the following features:
• a new dimension in gaming with the new ARCHOS Bluetooth Game Controller
• Videos are from 360 ° 3D videos
• Simulation of UAV flights
• Virtual time travel into past worlds
Currently, more than 100 apps are available, while Archos even want to provide their own video player with an update to allow stereoscopic vision with depth perception for 3D videos on your smartphone.
